New Camera!!!

Well, finally broke down. Had to do it, wasn't gonna take anymore photos without a new camera. Been having problems with my 20D for a while now, and for some reason Canon can't fix it right, but they didn't have a problem charging me for the lack of service. :(

Anyway...I'm trying out the new 7D. Went back and forth for some time, and this is the one...unless I want to spend 5K, which I'm not into right now ;).

Looking forward to trying it out Tuesday, and it has video, WHAT? What will they think of next?

What's In A Name?

Well, I finally broke down. I'm a little sad, but it's really ok! Several years ago my dear hubby came up with an amazing name for my photography business. I told him I wanted it to reflect my sweet Jesus, afterall He is the one who gives us our gifts, and He deserves the credit! So I began Master's Touch Photography.

I thought the name was perfect, because my talent is directly related to the Master's touch in my life. For several years I looked into getting a domain for this name, but it seemed that there were other photographers with the same name, therefore my .com domain was not available. I was also unable to get a blog with my name due to it being used too. I put it off, not sure what to do. I felt like the name was unoriginal now, and it made me sort of sad. People probably assumed that my name meant I was the master with some sort of creative touch when it came to photography. All of a sudden I wasn't so happy with it.

Anyway...I just left my name go, and contimplated for a couple years whether or not I should just use my name, as the chances of another Tonya Risser Photography was likely not to happen. I just couldn't make the switch everytime I thought of it. Over the past year or so I went back and forth, and after speaking to a good friend I realized, God doesn't care what name I give my photography business, as long as I give Him my business, allowing Him to make it what He wants it to be.

So, officially I am now Tonya Risser Photography, with credit still to the ultimate Master...Jesus Christ!

So, that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!
