Raffle for Logan the Sinclair Family

Our family is having a raffle this year to bless a family who's little 5 yr. old boy logan has a rare brain cancer. We want to bless them this Christmas to help with medical expenses. Our goal is to give away $500 which would mean selling 100 tickets, if we don't reach this goal the prize will be 40% of our earnings, with the rest going to the Sinclair family to help with expenses.

Won't you join our cause to bless a family in need this holiday season? We need your support to help, we can not do this alone.

The raffle will be held at Yogurtology in Glendale, AZ on Dec. 17th, in the afternoon (time TBA shortly). Yogurtology is graciously helping sell tickets and allowing us to sell on their premises for the next several weeks. We need your help!

We will not only have a grand prize, but other great prizes donated for the raffle!! Ultimately our goal is not to get something for ourselves, but to help someone else in need. Even though the raffle is here in AZ, we are taking donations for the family, and your name can still be put in for the big prize drawing, however, if you want to win any of the donated prizes, you must be present, or have someone representing you with your ticket! Weekend Workshops!

There has been interest in our workshops not only in the states we live, but out of state as well. Currently we have someone interested in possibly hosting a workshop in the Elkhart, IN area (which ironically is where my husband grew up), so if anyone is interested in joining us there please email tonyarisserphotography@q.com. We are open to a fall or late spring workshop, that is when it's gorgeous there!

We are open to having workshops just about anywhere, if you are interested in hosting one please let us know so we can get you some info.

Free Mini Shoot Share Your Personal Stories or Someone's You Love

Nearly 7 years ago cancer took my Mom, but it could not take her spirit! She was an amazing woman who loved well, encouraged much, and lived life to the fullest! She loved the Lord with all her heart, and shared Him in her daily walk.

Aug. 29th will be 7 years without her. I miss her so much, and have felt the need to use my gift of photography to bless others going through the loss of someone, or a difficult situation in their life or family. I came up with this...

If you have a story, or would like to share a story for someone you love that is going through some challenges in life, please email me at tonyarisserphotography@q.com. I will be choosing one story for my free mini shoot, and create somewhat of a journalistic memory for them.

Please have your stories in by Aug. 31st, as soon as they are in I will take a week to choose the one I will use.

First Weekend Workshop!!!

It's true, a dear photog friend (Valerie Mouery) and I are planning a weekend workshop! We are leaning towards Peoria, AZ, but are also leaving St. Augustine, FL open, or any other city where we find the most interest! It will also be in either mid. Oct. 2011, or early Mar. 2012, OR maybe both. If you are interested in hosting a workshop, email for details. As we finalize our workbooks and details we will share more info. about the big weekend!

For those of you wanting to better your photography skills, including camera use, Photoshop, posing, workflow etc., this is the perfect opportunity! We already have several well known companies etc. offering great give aways to those attending, and the price is one that can't be beat! We are wanting to get the word out, so our cost to you is very affordable, only $495 for the following:

Fri. evening will be the meet and greet

Sat. we kick off the day after breakfast. You will each be given a personally designed workbook with our class outline, important notes, and space for your own notes. You will be learning camera skills (assuming you already know the camera basics), shooting in all modes, using your ISO, flash, lens use, metering, exposure etc. Lunch will be included! Early afternoon we will be off to shoot for the rest of the afternoon/early evening. We will be teaching you to pose and shoot models (senior girls and guys, as well as small children), using the skills taught earlier that day as well as the use of natural light, flash (on and off camera), and reflectors.

That evening we will have dinner and find some time to answer any questions you might have, as well as peek at some of our work! It will be a LONG day! BUT loads of fun!

Sun. morning after breakfast we will meet again to teach the ins and outs of Photoshop (CS2 and higher). You will learn the most common tools used, layers, masking, simple tips and tricks to make your work flow smoother, and pictures gorgeous, how to create your own actions, and use others. We will spend the morning editing some of the photos from the Sat. afternoon shoot. Our class should end by noon.
